Mission
The Land Use Area of Expertise Team is a state-wide network of MSU faculty and Extension agents who build capacity for, and facilitate,
community-based land use education and decision-making to meet the diverse needs of Michigan citizens and units of government.

MSUE Core Priority
Encouraging responsible land and natural resource use is a Core Priority of MSU Extension. The Land Use Area of Expertise Team
integrates research, education, 
and outreach at MSU to help address land use issues and problems statewide. Team members provide
educational and training programs and technical support to planners, policy makers, various stakeholder groups, and the public.
Land and natural resource use is a broad subject area, focusing on land use planning, resource management, and policy analysis.
It is a goal of the Land Use AoE Team to identify and bring to bear the appropriate experiences and expertise needed to address broad land use issues.
